As the presidential election campaign circus reaches its ugly pinnacle, with its insults, distortions, slander and attacks on personal character, it seems worth wondering whether these politicians are aware of bigger problems in the country, and the world, then just the deficiencies in each other’s character. Does all the energy spent by candidates on destroying another’s reputation reveal the lack on energy, time and thought devoted to real solutions to real problems? Do candidates – not just at the presidential level, but those running for office in Congress and at the state and local levels - have a working plan to fix the many financial and economic problems permeating governments, society and the business of business?
