Pace Financial Services
has been providing financial advice
and services to individuals, families,
and business for over 10 years. These
services include tax planning, estate
and retirement planning, and investment
advisory services.
Depending on the
needs and wishes of the client, the
services we provide may be comprehensive
in nature, looking at all the areas
of a family or individual's personal
finances, or they may involve working
in one or more specific financial
areas. However, regardless of the
extent of our services, we always
provide services in a personal way,
taking into account each client's
unique personal and financial circumstances.
According to financial research firm Dalbar, over 600,000 individuals
in the United States call themselves
financial planners. However, unlike
other professions, there is no governing
body to regulate these individuals,
so their financial experience, education,
and background can and do vary significantly.
As a result, many of these "planners"
(including those who present themselves
as "comprehensive" planners) are actually
commissioned investment or insurance
brokers with little experience or
knowledge in many financial areas
as well as the financial planning
process.
At Pace Financial
Services, we pride ourselves on our
dedication to learning. With over
10 years of experience in the financial
services industry, including investment
and retirement planning and the design
and creation of personalized financial
strategies, the chief planner at Pace
Financial Services, David Alan Pace,
CFP, CFA, EA, provides a comprehensive and thorough
approach to each client's individual
personal and financial situation.
His experience in
the financial services industry includes
working with hundreds of individuals
and families in designing strategies
to meet their unique, individual goals.
His educational background includes
a BA in Economics from Indiana University,
as well as the continuing education
resulting from his various professional
licenses and certification requirements.
Since 1996, Mr.
Pace has been licensed as a certified
financial planner licensee. More than
40,000 individuals have taken the
extra step to demonstrate their professionalism
by submitting to the rigorous CFP
certification process. Besides extensive
education and experience requirements,
a CFP is required to pass a comprehensive
two-day financial planning exam and
must meet ongoing continuing education
standards. For more information about
the training and education requirements
of a Certified Financial Planner Licensee
you can look at our
Certified Financial Planner Licensee
page or you can go the Certified
Financial Planner Board of standards.
Mr. Pace is also currently licensed
as an enrolled agent, eligible to
represent taxpayers, small businesses,
and other organizations before the
Internal Revenue Service.
Pace Financial Services
is a fee-only
business. We accept no commissions
from outside sources and are compensated
only by fees paid directly from our
clients.
Various financial
planners are compensated in different
ways. These methods of compensation
include commission only, commissions
+ fees (sometimes called "fee-based"),
and fee-only. At Pace Financial we
are compensated solely from fees paid
by clients. When working with a client,
we normally charge either "project"
or hourly fees or quarterly or annual
fees for ongoing services or management.
We believe this allows us to be more
objective in our recommendations because
any product or service we recommend
will not bring us additional monetary
compensation. In this way we feel
we can offer the most objective evaluation
of each client's financial situation
and recommend a course of action based
solely on the client's best interest.

We are committed
to providing quality services and
value for our clients. It is our goal
for each client to succeed in reaching
his or her financial objectives. It
is primarily because of this goal
that we stress education and competence
and have a compensation format that
we feel lessens potential conflicts
of interests.
In addition, by
providing personal, individual financial
strategies for families and individuals
and adhering to ethical planning relationships,
we strive to be a financial partner
that will enable each client to reach
their their financial goals.
